Today's students are tomorrow's leaders. With that in mind, our 90-minute educational program, LIVING IN CAVE COUNTRY, focuses on the responsibilities of being a resident in the delicate, karst terrain of the Ozarks. Helping to develop an understanding of wise-stewardship will keep the Ozarks a wonderful place to live and visit.

Cave History

At Fantastic Caverns, students explore surface and subsurface relationships to build a better understanding of the interconnectivity of our Karst terrain. Activities taking place above ground directly affect the ecosystems below ground. Caves are an integral part of our Ozarks landscape and serve as natural sanctuaries for some of Missouri's most rare and elusive creatures.
